Hi, I’m Carla
I’m a community nutritionist, coach, and advocate with a passion for helping people move more, eat well, and feel their best — using practical, evidence-based science.
Through my blog and courses, I aim to make nutrition simple, realistic, and empowering. No fads. No extremes. Just sustainable habits that fit into real life.
I’ve always loved cooking and spending time outdoors. Walking has long been my favourite way to slow down and connect with nature, but more recently I’ve discovered a love for running — from parkrun to ultra-running. Movement, for me, is about joy, connection, and what our bodies are capable of, not perfection.
My professional journey began in science. I studied biochemistry at university and worked as a biochemist before stepping into the finance world while my children were young, allowing for better work–life balance at that stage of life. During the COVID pandemic, I felt drawn back to science and completed a Master’s in Nutrition.
This unique blend of biochemistry, finance, and nutrition now shapes how I support my community. Food, health, and finances are deeply connected — and understanding all three allows me to help people make informed, realistic choices that support their wellbeing long term.
